Mr Eric Bush joined United Kingdom Overseas Territories Representatives at a Celebration of the Commonwealth at The Commonwealth Service at Westminster Abbey.
The Commonwealth Service is Britain’s largest annual inter-faith gathering, held on the second Monday in March each year. Among the 2,000-strong congregation will be 800 children from schools and youth groups.
The Service this year takes the theme, ‘Towards a common future,’ ensuring that the Commonwealth is responsive to global challenges and delivers a more prosperous, secure, sustainable and fair future for all citizens, particularly its young people.
Attendance at the Service is be by invitation, issued by The Royal Commonwealth Society.
Two Cayman students, Mathew Welds and Janelle Syms also attended the service and experienced a very special historical commemoration for the Commonwealth.
