Friends of the British Overseas Territories (FOTBOT) is a charitable organisation which works to advance education and promote the British Overseas Territories (BOTs) across the UK and worldwide.

The organisation’s key mission is to educate on the need to conserve, protect and improve the environment of the BOTs whilst promoting their history and geography. The primary audience is aged between 18 and 25 and as such, provides educational visits to British Overseas Territories.

The CIGO and CIG work alongside them to not only support their hard work but also bring awareness to the overseas territories. As part of the delegation’s visit to the UK in July of this year, the Premier welcome the organisation to CIGO for an evening of networking, wine, and canapes. A variety of students were not only joined by the Premier and CIGO team, but Mr Andrew Rosindell MP also attended, promoting the efforts of all.

The event was significantly important for the organisation and garnered great interest from attendees. The long-term goal is to hold yearly educational visits to the territories to provide unique networking opportunities and CIGO are pleased to be involved.
