New COVID restriction measures from 2 December

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has announced that the national restrictions in England will come to an end on the 2nd December, from this date the Government will return to a tier system. 

The Government have published their COVID-19 Winter Plan and this can be found here.

The Prime Minister is scheduled to address the nation at 7pm.

England

• All of England is under new national restrictions from Thursday 5 November. These restrictions will end on the 2nd December. More details on the current restrictions can be found here.

Scotland

• A system of local protection levels is now in place. Details of the levels applied to each part of the country and information on what you can and cannot do at each level can be found here.

Wales

• A set of national rules are in place. Details of these rules can be found here.

 Northern Ireland
