Welcome to the Cayman Islands Government Office UK
Established in 1982, the Cayman Islands Government Office in the United Kingdom has served as the official representative body of the Cayman Islands Government in the UK, fostering strong relationships with the UK Government, Parliament, international organisations, and the 56 nations of the Commonwealth. The office promotes greater understanding of the Cayman Islands across all sectors while supporting Caymanian students and residents throughout the UK.
In addition to advancing the Cayman Islands’ diplomatic and strategic objectives, the office provides consular assistance, coordinates community and cultural initiatives, and delivers policy and ministerial support to the Government of the Cayman Islands.

On Remembrance Sunday, the Cayman Islands Government Representative to the United Kingdom, Dr Tasha Ebanks Garcia, laid a wreath at the Cenotaph in London, honouring the brave men and women from the Cayman Islands and around the world who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our freedom.
The Cayman Islands had the highest per capita wartime enrollment rate in the world during the Second World War, with around two-thirds of the adult male population volunteering for service — a powerful testament to our people’s courage, loyalty, and sense of duty.
The Cayman Islands stands together with the United Kingdom, Overseas Territories, Crown Dependencies and the Commonwealth in remembering all who served — in times of war, conflict, and peace — and in gratitude for their courage and dedication.
We will remember them.
The UK Youth Parliament (UKYP) gives young people aged 11–18 a unique opportunity to debate issues that matter most to them in the very Chamber where MPs sit — it’s the only event each year when non-MPs are invited to speak in the House of Commons.
This year, representatives from the Overseas Territories have been specially invited by Mr Speaker to deliver short speeches on the theme of Education and Learning — an incredibly important issue for young people across the Cayman Islands.
We’re so proud to see Cayman’s voice represented in this global celebration of youth democracy!
On Saturday 29th November, the Hon. André Ebanks, Premier of the Cayman Islands, hosted Cayman Day 2025 and it was proudly delivered by the Cayman Islands Government Office in the United Kingdom. The day was a vibrant celebration of our Caymanian culture and community.
Premier Ebanks and Cayman Islands Representative to the UK, Dr Tasha Ebanks Garcia, welcomed the crowd with lively and engaging remarks that kicked off the festivities with great energy and Caymanian spirit.
Guests enjoyed an exciting programme featuring fantastic DJs, the dynamic live band HEAT, powerful spoken-word performances, caricaturists and a fun photobooth — all contributing to an atmosphere that truly showcased the essence of the Cayman Islands.
We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us and helped make the celebration such a success. Your energy, support, and Caymanian pride continue to strengthen our community here in the UK.
